Managing Blogcast Content

Content in Blogcasts can be managed via feeds. There are four default feeds for every podcast: Features, All Posts, Trending and Top Rated.

The All Posts, Trending and Top Rated feeds are automatically populated, while Featured can used to highlight posts of your choosing, effectively curating your Blogcast 'homepage'.

Unlimited new custom feeds can be created by Blogcast admin users. In this example 'Community' and 'Podcast' are examples of custom feeds.

NOTE: Feeds are not exclusive. The same post can appear in multiple feeds.

Before publishing a post you can choose to post it into a specific feed(s). Click the down arrow next to the Post button...

This will open a menu showing which feeds can posted into. Multiple feeds can be selected. The 'All Posts' feed is mandatory and can't be deselected.

If your post is ready to go, just click the Post button and you're done, if not just click the arrow again to close the menu and carry on writing. Your feed choices are remembered so that when you click Post later your post will go into the selected feeds.

NOTE: The 'Featured' feed is available only to admin users.

Managing Feeds (Admin Users Only)

As an admin user you can use your Blogcast's feeds to curate your Blogcast. The 'Featured' feed is a way to curate your Blogcast's homepage.

Moving published posts into (and out of) feeds is done using Tremr's 'repost' function. Click All Posts to see all of the content in the Blogcast. Now click the repost icon for the post you wish to move into a feed:

This will open up the repost side menu. Now click the name of the Blogcast to open up the list of Blogcast feeds available:

Select the feed(s) you want to repost the post into:

Then click the Repost button at the top right of the menu:

The select post will now be viewable in the selected feeds. To remove a post from a particular feed, just do the same thing, but uncheck the relevant feed.

To add a new feed to your Blogcast just click the +Add Feed option in the feeds list:

This will open up the feed managed side menu....

Enter a name in the New Feed field, then click the Add button. Now click the Save button to make the selected changed.

TIP: You can also reorder your feeds by dragging the three lines icon to the left of a feed name up or down in the list.

NOTE: Blogcasts are currently a beta feature and may not be available to all users yet
