Automatic Post Tagging
Tags on Tremr posts serve the dual purpose of enabling easier exploration and discovery of posts by readers, and also allowing more freedom of expression for authors.
We still absolutely encourage authors to add their own tags to their posts, but to help maximise the benefits of accurate and relevant tagging, our unique in-house 'machine learning' system may add one or more additional tags to your posts based on the post title and content.
These tags will be drawn from a short list of high level topics such as #politics, #culture, #economics and will sit alongside the tags added by the post author.
[NOTE: the automatically added tags for a post correspond with the topics a post is assigned in the Tremr reputation system, detailed here: https://support.tremr.com/article/39-stars-and-reputation]
Authors are free to edit or delete these tags if they wish, but we recommend keeping them as they will help drive more readers to your posts. Tags which have already been added to a post by the author won't be added again, so don't worry, you won't end up with any duplication of tags!
Please note that it may be a minute or two after posting before the automatic tags are shown on a post.
