Posting Content
Starting a New Post
Tremr is all about expressing yourself. We welcome all types of content, from full length articles - with embedded media - to short comments, links, images and videos.
To create a new post on Tremr, either click the New Post icon at the top right of the screen:
or click on your profile image at the top right of the screen, then click the New Post button:
If you want to reply to someone else's post, click the Reply box beneath their post:
Get Writing!
If you just want to write a short comment (up to 280 characters) type it into the Say something box, hit the Post button and you're done! For a longer post, use the 'Say something' box to write your post title and the Say some more... box to write the main body of your post.
Adding Media
You can use the four icons in between the text fields to add a header image, link, video or tweet to your post. Simply click on the appropriate icon then select an image to upload, or paste in the URL of the link, video or tweet.
Images are uploaded from your device directly to Tremr, videos must be a link to either a YouTube or Vimeo video. To add a Tweet, you should paste in its 'embed' code.
Text Formatting
Highlight any word or section of text to pop up the formatting menu, as shown below. The menu options are Bold, Italic, Link, Heading and Quotation.
To insert images, videos, links etc into the body of your post click the plus icon in the right hand margin. This will pop up the insert menu. The options here are Text, Image, Link, Video and Tweet.
Add Some Tags
At the top of your post you can add relevant tags. Simply click on Add tag... then type your tag and hit the return key to create it. Don't worry about adding a # at the start, we'll do that for you! Tags help readers find your posts and tagged posts will appear on the My Tremr page of people following the relevant tag(s). Note: Tremr tags can include spaces, as in the 'united states' example below.
Publish Your Post
When you've finished your post you can simply click the Post button at the top right of the screen to publish it. This will post into your Featured and All Posts feeds by default:
Add Summary
Here you can type in a summary of your post, up to 280 characters long:

Save Draft
If you post isn't finished yet, or you want to publish it later, clicking Save Draft will save the current version as a draft. Note that a draft of your post is autosaved every few seconds, but clicking Save Draft will ensure that the very latest version is saved. You can access your drafts on the drafts tab on your profile page.
Post in Feed(s)
By default a new post will be posted in your All Posts and Featured feeds. You can choose to also post it into other custom feeds which you've added to your Tremr profile. Read about adding and managing profile feeds here: https://support.tremr.com/article/18-organising-your-content
Simply select one or more feeds you wish to post into, then click the Post button to publish your post.
NOTE: Other writers' posts can also be reposted into your feeds. After clicking the repost button on a post the same feed selection menu above will pop up.
